Shower

Shower tile in the master going up.

Counter top installation

Here is a video of the counters in the kitchen being installed.

FLoors

Here is the very first bit of floor being laid today.

Garage doors

The garage doors get put in. The house is almost completely enclosed! Joe even put most of the door knobs on so there are just a few things missing for it to be done on the exterior.

Our favorite helpers!

Don is back and he brought Joe with him. They have been tons of help this week! Fixing doors, working on the kitchen, tearing out the stair treads that were glued in (groan) and screwing them back in so that they can be replaced with the real oak ones when ready, vacuuming out every seam of the sub-floor and caulking them so the gypcrete doesn’t pour through to the next floor, helping the drywallers finish in time when half of them fell sick, taking many many trips to town for missing supplies, cleaning up the general mess, and SO much more!

Drywall day two

Day two of the upstairs drywall, the bright sun washes out the picture for a little bit. The long sheets coming down the hallway towards the camera is pretty impressive. You can see at the end the camera is about to be buried. We were sure the camera was going to be a permanent fixture in the wall, but as you see they saw the camera before they put up that sheet and moved it so there are more timelaspe to come!

Drywall

We hired day labor to haul the 12 foot sheets of drywall up the stairs. Then you get a glimpse of the ceiling being installed at 48sq ft per sheet it goes pretty fast!

Electrician

More electrician, you can see them start in the kitchen and see them move to the great room, master bedroom, dining room, and hallway. With a cameo by Grandpa again!

Grandpa

Lots of busy work from the electrician and a quick peak of Grandpa sweeping floors!

Interior work

Interior work continues. The camera is in a nook window pointing north east. This video shows the various contractors. The beginning of the video is duct work, the electrical contractors take up most of the middle and you can see the siding guys working through the nook door.
